Jewish Yellow Plus has only been around for a few short months, but from the very beginning it was clear that it would be something different. The goal was never strictly about business, as was well understood by our first advertiser, Ofra Flowers in Beit Shemesh, Israel. This was also understood by the De Maria Pharmacy in Montivideo, Uruguay and by London Digital PR in England. The goal was always first and foremost about Jewish presence, about Jews getting to know each other globally on a different level than before.

Of course, in this exceedingly short time, Jewish Yellow Plus has managed to outrank all other Jewish directories or Jewish yellow page schemes, or other Jewish online advertising sites, having entered already into the prestigious top million WEB sites and still rising daily. Many of our advertisers already have first page Google search results coming from general searches, such as 'tefillin mezuzot allenby' if you are seeking a store for religious objects in central tel aviv or from specific searches, such as 'avital lang' if you know the name of this talented Jewish Canadian artist and are looking to contact her.

So, beyond the fact that no other advertising site gives so much (bilingual text, link to business or organization WEB site, unlimited picture and video space, advertiser control of editing and changing advertisement at will and more), as a method for increasing customer awareness Jewish Yellow Plus is continually growing, with at least 100,000 hits a month. Still, this is not the entire story. Our advertisers, Jews from diverse backgrounds and customs, all believe in one thing – to be part of a growing international effort of mutual support and interaction, to be out there for other Jews to get to know about and to find. This is the dream of Jewish Yellow Plus. We thank our advertisers for understanding this and we are happy for their PR gains as well.

Jewish Yellow Plus Hits the Anglo Market

Most, if not all, people will tell you that business and ideology cannot mix. I can tell you good people that this is a falsehood. From my own experience with Jewish Yellow Plus, it is clear that many, many people are seeking an Internet based business solution from people that care. JYPlus seems to have hit a nerve and the response thus far has been really incredible. Potential advertisers are looking for an initiative that will give them a sense of hope and caring, not just a monthly advertising rate that will be used as a tax write-off.

The stories I could tell about almost each and every advertiser currently on Jewish Yellow Plus may one day be the subject of a book, or even a novel. People are so receptive to Jewish Yellow Plus precisely because we see the big picture, as only a business directory can. The Modest Beginnings of Jewish Yellow Plus

When I first had the idea to publish a Jewish Yellow Pages type directory, I had no idea what the response would be and what the needs of advertisers were. I just thought it would be a nice idea - no more and no less. While the site is still in its infancy, the idea has grown to great proportions and the response has been immensely thankful. People do not just need their address and business type published YET AGAIN on the WEB. They are looking for the personal touch, on two levels. The first level is that of appearance - they want picture, video and music files capability. So, we will give them that. But also, they want to be heard, to be known, to both their regular clients and to the outside world. Within a few months we will try to give them that as well. Methods for contacting clients without costly phone bills, non-intrusive methods for allowing clients to know about newly arrived merchandise, methods to discuss not only with clients their needs, but also with similar Jewish merchants around the world. All types of Jews are joining this site - and when I say all types - I mean all types. Secular, religious, right wing, left wing - Jews of all shapes and flavors - have expressed an interest in once again making contact and sharing experiences and expertise. I guess these days something is in the air. Jewish Yellow Plus is here to help on our own modest level to coordinate this need.

Integrating the World Wide Jewish WEB

The World Wide Jewish WEB is continually growing and expanding. Jewish artisans, rabbis, Jewish on-line stores, Jewish philosophers, Jewish dating sites, Jewish directories, Jewish Yellow Pages and Jewish charities, Jewish and Israeli think tanks and Jewish and Israeli missions all find their place in the virtual community of the Jewish Internet.

What is lacking within this important Jewish framework is an integration of this vast collection of Jewish Internet resources. Integration means not only collecting, as in Jewish directories or Jewish or Israeli portals, or Jewish business directories or Jewish Yellow Pages, but rather a holistic and supportive approach, whereby no matter the interest, Jews will be encouraged to communicate and to mutually support those with similar needs.

This is the aim of Jewish Yellow Plus. This is the vision! Jewish Yellow Plus (JYPlus) aims to be so much more than just another listing of Kosher restaurants or Jewish travel guides, of Kosher cruises or Judaica and synagogues. The goal of JYPlus is to integrate the needs and services of the Jewish business owner or the Jewish advertiser, so that Jewish WEB surfers and users can find a one stop Jewish directory of mutually associated and integrated Jewish businesses.

For instance, a typical listing of Jewish artists would provide names and contact information, but would not provide an entire gallery, whether by picture, video or music file, for the surfer to purview. And, by also encouraging a Jewish ceramicist from Jerusalem to work and learn together with a Jewish ceramicist from California, the idea of Jewish unity becomes relevant once again in ways beyond how unity is usually understood.

If a religious Jewish woman lives in a far off community in New Zealand, Australia, China or even in the United States, Jewish Yellow Plus wants her to know about and to find an Israeli or other merchant of Jewish religious clothing that can help her to obtain her needs, wherever she may be located. If a Jewish male traveler forgot to bring his Tefillin on a journey, JYPlus wants him to be able to find someone at his travel destination that will help him with a solution. If an Israeli startup is looking for a Jewish investor, if a flower needs to be sent from anywhere to anywhere in the world, Jewish Yellow Plus aims to become part of that solution.

Jewish Yellow Plus is young, but its vision is as old as the Jewish people; integrating and helping each other, despite our many different avenues of expression and understanding, standing with each other through difficult times, supporting each other in as many ways as possible, - this is the goal of this unique site. We are not only about connecting Jewish businesses or Jewish advertisers; we are about connecting the entire Jewish WEB and its myriad users in innovative and compelling ways.
